Born and
raised in the small town of Fort Erie, Ontario, Karey Wood quickly
established himself as one of Canada’s top watercolour artists. He started painting professionally in 1983 and
hasn’t looked back since. His love of art has brought him all across Canada
and Europe, painting real life scenes. The self taught Renaissance man has
works varying from seascapes and boats, lighthouses, barns and buildings,
animals, city streets, portraits and military life. There is literally
nothing he hasn’t painted. He has works in many museums, galleries, lawyer’s
firms, various business and private homes in every province of Canada, as
well as America, Europe and Australia. |

Karey has done public showings of his work in art festivals all across North America and has taught watercolour techniques in several schools.

Karey received the Colonel Commandants Commendation, an extremely prestigious military award, for producing masterful pieces of art depicting current and historical military events.

| In 2004 some of Karey’s personally selected paintings went into limited edition prints because of the high demand and in 2005 will be turned into postcards and greeting cards. Recently, Karey picked up the art of airbrushing and since then has done several large scale murals for various military clientele. He currently resides in Petawawa, Ontario with his wife Anna and children Travis & Stephanie. |
